What is AV & Visual Messaging?
Each day, all over the world, in all types of industries, more than two million people receive time
sensitive workplace critical information through televisions, large-screen plasma monitors, desktop
PCs and interactive kiosks strategically integrated with the power of AV or Visual Messaging Systems.
These systems display company news and information using a variety of delivery methods, most commonly
on TV monitors. Announcements are composed on PC's using special messaging software, using graphics
and text to build images that display like a slide show. Digital video files - movie clips - can be
included. Messaging systems can also be designed to automatically playback videotapes or automatically
switch to other video sources, including live cameras, cable TV channels or satellite programming.
This information can be distributed to TV's in a building or campus in a number of ways. Most
frequently used are coax RF systems - like a cable-TV system - but increasingly fiber, twisted pair
or a LAN are used to transport the signal.
Today, you can view your internal message system at desktops throughout your organization, displaying
the TV messages as screen savers or web pages -- in real time exactly as they appear on the monitors.
